How to change?

Generally, those who turn to a coach does it because they ask how to change something. In fact, the concept of change is certainly very close to coaching . Perhaps in relation to an aspect of emotional life, professional life, physical health.
Whatever the area of our life in which we have decided to intervene, we must take into account 3 fundamental aspects. 3 things without which no effective change can take place :
- We must want to change
- We have to know how to do it
- We must give us the opportunity to do it
They may seem 3 simple elements, but in reality it is not always the case. That's why certain habits are so difficult to eradicate. This explains the reason why, when we ask ourselves how to change, very often we get unsatisfactory answers.
"If we don't change, we don't grow up. If we don't grow, we're not really living." - Anatole France
We must want to change
Often behind a situation we don't like, a secondary advantage is hidden . We want to quit smoking, but this is the only way we have to relax. We want to lose weight, but food is the only thing we find comfort. Cases are very frequent in which a person claims to want to change but in reality it says it and that's it, underneath, consciously or unconsciously, he prefers to keep the secondary advantage well.
We have to know how to do
The habits that work are the most difficult to modify. Often they are so integrated in our newspaper that we are unable to see any other possible alternative. The help of someone can be used to find new points of view .
We must give us the opportunity
We know very well that changing things can sometimes be a truly arduous company. It could serve time, but we can't be patient. New resources could serve, but we don't know which one and even where to look for them.
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." - CS Lewis
To obtain an effective change we have seen that 3 elements are needed:
- The desire for change
- The ability to do it
- The opportunity to do it
Emphanting these 3 aspects is not always simple. My advice is to get you a hand, possibly by a person of your trust. As for example a friend or friend, or you can be supported by a good coach .
