With this article, I want to offer you 5 food for thought, 5 ideas to develop to "go further." 5 suggestions derived from Performance Coaching for seeking new inspiration.
These concepts derive from a series of characteristics that some research have highlighted as particular traits of people who have proven to offer above average performance.
Whether in business, sports, or any other field, high performersshare some common characteristics. I've chosen five of them and now I'll present them to you below. My goal is to get you thinking about what you could further improve to enhance your performance and achieve even greater satisfaction in your life.
Replace the need for certainty with the curiosity to see what's "beyond"
Too often, people choose to satisfy their need for certainty by giving up everything life could offer them if they would simply shake off old habits. Ask yourself, "What could I do to bring a breath of fresh air into my life?"
Replace the natural tendency towards comfortable and safe choices
Embrace and evaluate choices that require greater effort, driven by larger goals. Instead of opting for the easy path, consider taking a path toward something bigger and more adventurous. Ask yourself, "What's that thing I've always given up on? What could I do to achieve it?"
Consciously put your commitment to grow and improve every day
Habits that lead to greater contribution run counter to what comes easily and automatically. Ask yourself, "What automatic behaviors could I change to give myself the opportunity to discover something new?"
Don't wait to be good enough ...
...prepared enough, prepared enough... Decide to set out now, confident that you'll find everything you need along the way. When you set out on an Ultra Marathon, you don't need to see the finish line. Proper preparation is definitely a must, then set out and enjoy the ride!
Clarify your ideas ...
…and in what you truly want. Great performances come from great clarity in your ideas. Clarity can't be found; you have to build it every day by reflecting, thinking, asking all the questions other people don't, trying new things, and having experiences.
Maybe you can evaluate to clarify your life by embarking on a coaching path.
