The objectives are only excuses

The summer holiday season has now begun. Someone planned the holidays in advance, others did it at the last moment. Still others have not planned anything and decide at the last second.

If we do not decide where to go hardly we will understand in a place we like. After deciding where to go we have to define what resources we will need to get there: economic resources, time ...

Have you ever felt that wonderful sensation that makes you say, "I already feel like I'm on vacation!" before you've even arrived? That wonderful feeling is vitally important, because the journey is an essential part of the vacation. When we manage to enjoy the journey and remain open to what might happen, magic happens!

The same thing happens with our goals. It's undoubtedly important to define them, as well as to work towards achieving them. And here too, just like with vacations, the most important thing is to enjoy the journey. Because if you think about it, ultimately, goals are just excuses. What really matters is who you become as you journey towards achieving them. What kind of person you become as you strive to achieve your dreams. That's true success, regardless of whether you achieve your goals or not.

Maybe you'll achieve the result you wanted and rejoice. Maybe you'll achieve that result and realize it wasn't that important. Or maybe you won't achieve that result. It doesn't matter, the true great success you'll have achieved will be having had a beautiful journey. Perhaps difficult and full of challenges, but in any case, rich in experiences that will have somehow made you a different person. A better person, because you will have overcome difficulties and faced challenges. You will have fought, rejoiced, and experienced moments of sadness.

In short, you will have made a nice trip to the Russian mountains! On the other hand, would you be able to imagine the boredom of a tour of totally flat roller coasters?
